Events Above the Gulf

In our personal relationships, any unattended interior crisis will, sooner or later wreak havoc externally. To my mind this is echoed, on a grand scale, in the less than gentle way we, as a species, have treated our physical environment.
In this and other multiple panel installations, I’ve sought to develop the idea of such a link; to make vivid and filmic the relationship between what might be regarded as the emotional crisis of our species on one hand, and environmental catastrophe on the other.
Events Above The Gulf (2010) alludes to one of the biggest oil and gas leaks in history caused by the failure of BP's Deepwater Horizon drilling rig in the Gulf of Mexico in 2010.
